Yep, I've located additional problem here.

Actually, when starting some message, it's content is converted a bit.

For example, in CW $F1 is replaced with content of F1 message.

In SSB, it is changed to internal command to play voice message.

And it is done always at the start of command. So, full message is translated after keypress, of course, on focused radio mode.

Need to change this to translate only part of message until $TRx macro is found. 

The rest should be translated when $TRx macro is processed and TX focus is switched.

 

I will work on this this evening / night.

Has there been some development on the $TR2 issue at this point? (if the mode on R2 is different from R1, for example “$TR2 $F1” doesn’t send a CQ on R2) I installed v2.3.6 for this weekend’s RDXC, but it seems the problem is still there.

Hi Kim...

CWAbbrev issue is fixed here. $TR2 (or $TR1 or $TRS) issue will be fixed soon, it needs little bit more work in the code as

we are using different macro processing methods for CW, SSB and Digi modes.

Current code assume that same method is used, so it just continues to process message. It will be changed on the way that

after $TRx macro new radio mode will be checked and the rest of the message will be processed with method according to

new mode. Thanks for the info about this.

If the two radios are on different modes, the “Abbreviated” function does not work on the radio that is on CW. When one changes both radios to CW, then it works.

Hi,

I'm preparing for the WAG contest and ran into the following problem:

I program F1 to send CQ, and F6 as "$TR2 $F1", in other words to send a CQ on Radio 2 without first having to move to the second radio row and then pressing F1.

This works fine when both radios are on the same mode, but if when they are on different modes, F6 doesn't send anything. Any ideas or fixes?
