[DXLog.net - Support] ESM query

Hi Stewart

I just tried this too. In S&P, the Insert message seems to get sent in
every circumstance e.g. any field, populated or not.

In my mind the logic for ESM in S&P should be:

Cursor in empty logging field: send CL? or ? (whichever F key that is in)

Cursor in populated logging field: Send <MyCall> - F4

Cursor in empty exchange field: Send nr? (whichever F key that is in)

Cursor in populated exchange field: Send PLUS message (exchange and
carriage return)

A problem I have with N1MM (if I recall correctly) is that their ESM
logic is not dependent on the field the cursor is in, so if you wish to
re-send an exchange you have to get onto the F keys. I much prefer the
DXLog logic of the message that depends on the current field position -
its much more predictable.

Occasionally this is useful but not as a default and easily overcome when S&Ping by simply hitting F4 to send Mycall; problem is when using so2v you(I?) really need consistency. I'd also find it useful to have a visual indication of which F-key(s) are being actioned at each stage of esm logging much like N1MM. Not being able to log an S&P qso by Enter also seems counter-intuitive.
