New

This menu option will create new DXLog.net contest file in a windows file directory of your choice.

Save the new contest with a meaningful name in a file directory (We advise creating a DXlog file directory in your my documents folder), the contest will be saved with the .dxn file extension.

Open

This menu option will open existing DXLog.net contest file.

Close

This menu option closes the currently open contest file. ,br>DXLog.net software stays open allowing a new contest file to be created, or an existing contest file to be re-opened.
You can also do this typing "CLOSE" in the log callsign entry field.
If you need to reload the contest file you can type "RELOAD" or "RELOADNOW" in the log callsign entry field.
"RELOAD" will load the contest file showing the initial setting window, "RELOADNOW" will load the contest file directly.

Import

With this option you can import QSO data from different sources.

  • Cabrillo

This option will create new DXLog.net file from existing Cabrillo log file.

  • EDI

This option will create new DXLog.net file from existing EDI log file. This is commonly used format for VHF/UHF/SHF contests.

  • ADIF

This option is enabled only when previously created DXLog.net file is opened.
You can import QSO lines into active contest file from existing ADIF log file(s).
Multiple files can be selected at import, and duplicate QSOs will be ignored during import and sorting.

Export

With this option you can export QSO data in different sources.

  • CABRILLO FILE

This option will create new Cabrillo .log file from original DXLog.net database. (Most contest adjudicators use this format).

  • ADIF

This option will create new ADIF .ADI file from original DXLog.net database.

This option will create new ASCII Text .TXT file from original DXLog.net database.

  • LOG SEARCH FILE

This option will create new Log Search .LGS file from original DXLog.net database.

  • SUMMARY FILE

This option will create new Log Summary .SUM file from original DXLog.net database.

Merge logs

Different DXLog.net log files for the same contest and callsign will be merged into a single log file. Hold down the CTRL key while selecting files in the file dialog box.

Clean Log

This command allows a log to have /QRP, Duplicate Entries, Duplicate QSO's and QSO's with self removed from the log database.

Quit

This menu option will exit DXLog.net and user will be returned to Windows environment.
You can also do this typing "EXIT" in the log callsign entry field.
