Elecraft

The recommended CAT interface setting for Elecraft K3, K3S, KX3 and KX2 is to use 38400bps, 8 bit,
no parity and 1 stop bit and 300ms polling interval.

For KX3, KX2 and K3/K3S without sub receiver the menu option
Options|Interface specific options|Use SPLIT command in SO2V technique
should be disabled. For K3/K3S with a sub receiver, it should be enabled.

When recording voice messages for the internal voice keyer on KX2 and KX3,
recording should be started by pressing the XMIT button on the radio but terminated
by pressing ESC on the computer's keyboard.

For K3/K3S with sub receiver, diversity is supported. It can either be enabled by
pressing [Ctrl][-] or [Ctrl][Keypad Subtract] or by a long press on the radio's SUB button.
Diversity is indicated with a DIV icon below in the "seven segment" frequency counter in
the radio/band map window.

Even if you are using a station controller such as a microHAM MK2R+ you will get
a better user experience if you let DXLog.net control the radio directly via the high speed USB interface.

In the radio settings, select the relevant COM port, chose 200ms polling interval
and set the interface to 115200bps, 8 bits, no parity and 1 stop bit.

On the radio, go to the CI-V menu by selecting:
MENU->SET->Connectors->CI-V

Set
CI-V Transceive = ON
CI-V USB Port = Unlink from [REMOTE]
CI-V USB Echo Back = OFF

For SO2V operation the menu option
Options|Interface specific options|Use SPLIT command in SO2V technique
should be disabled for IC-7300 and enabled for IC-7610, IC-7850, and IC-7851.

The internal voice keyer is supported however only for playback.
Recording has to be done using the radio's recording menu.

ICOM CI-V is a semi-duplex protocol that both transmits and receives using a single line.
Using CI-V Transceive = ON at lower speeds may create message collisions
causing DXLog.net's CAT driver to lock up. With collision-free serial interfaces such as
microHAM device router it can however be used also at e.g. 19200bps for a slightly improved
user experience. This is however currently not a recommended practice.

Coherent diversity is supported on IC-7610, IC-7850, and IC-7851.
It can either be enabled/disabled from the keyboard with [Ctrl][-] or [Ctrl][Keypad Subtract]
or by a long press on the radio's MAIN/SUB button.
Diversity is indicated with a DIV icon below in the "seven segment" frequency counter in
the radio/band map window.

IC-7800

Use the highest available speed on the CI-V interace (19200bps, 8 bits, no parity, 1 stop bit).
A suitable polling interval is 300ms.

For SO2V operation the DXLog.net menu option
Options|Interface specific options|Use SPLIT command in SO2V technique
should be enabled.

As a rule, CI-V Transceive should be disabled on a the radio.
With a collision-free serial interfaces such as microHAM device router it
can however be used for a slightly improved user experience.
This is however currently not a recommended practice.

The internal voice keyer is supported however only for playback, not recording.

Older ICOM

Use the highest available speed on the CI-V interface.

Disable CI-V Transceive.
